Cyprus Film Days
The International Film Festival ‘Cyprus Film Days’ is the official competitive film festival of Cyprus, held every April. It is co-organised by the Department of Contemporary Culture - Deputy Ministry of Culture and Rialto Theatre.
International Short Film Festival Cyprus
ISFFC is the official short film festival of Cyprus, showcasing and celebrating an outstanding narrative, animated, documentary and experimental original short film content. Since 2019, the ISFFC is an official partner festival of the European Film Academy. Through the years, it has become an excellent platform for local and international filmmakers to showcase their work, and it maintains its reputation as an audience favourite.
Images and Views of Alternative Cinema
IVAC was launched by an initiative of the Department of Contemporary Culture - Deputy Ministry of Culture and Theatro Ena, in cooperation with the Cultural Organisation Brave New Culture and Point Centre for Contemporary Art. Through its programmes, it aims to highlight alternative and experimental film expression.
Summer Movie Marathon
Since 2006, cinephiles in Nicosia have the opportunity to enjoy a diverse programme of art-house and commercial films in the summer night breeze, from July to mid-September, at the capital’s only remaining open-air cinema.
The ‘Summer Movie Marathon’, a popular event amongst youths and people of all ages, is co-organised by the Department of Contemporary Culture - Deputy Ministry of Culture and Theatro Ena, in cooperation with the Friends of Cinema Society.
