Committed to boosting this highly promising sector, the Deputy Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, are developing a series of skill-based programmes, focusing on capacity building and vocational training in the film industry. The training programmes will include apprenticeship and placements in production companies and feature film productions.
Directors Guild of Cyprus
The Directors Guild was founded in 1994 and is the main organisation in Cyprus representing professional directors across all media: film, television, commercials, music videos, corporate film, multimedia and new media. Its members range from internationally renowned and award-winning directors to novices on their first professional assignments, as well as student directors. The Deputy Ministry of Culture supports the Directors Guild's professional training programmes, which include masterclasses and workshops by world leading professional in the industry.
