The Well
“The Well” is a political social drama that tells the story of Elena, a forensic archaeologist searching for bodies of missing persons that disappeared five decades ago during the war in Cyprus. Things get more complicated when Analyn, the Filipina domestic worker who is looking after Elena’s father, asks for her help to find her niece that recently went missing. Elena is slowly drawn into the case as she finds out that more female migrant workers have disappeared without anyone looking for them and abuses her position at work to start her own investigation. Lying to her superiors, she calls upon the help of her estranged brother, Panos, unwittingly opening the door to a painful past.
