The Deputy Ministry of Culture and the Department of Modern and Contemporary Culture is pleased to announce the participation and awarding of ‘IMAN’ by Cypriot filmmakers, Korinna Avramidou and Kyriakos Tofaridis, in competitive international film festivals.
Starting with the Panhellenic Screenwriting Award from the Screenwriters’ Union of Greece in 2018, ‘IMAN’ premiered at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival in November 2022 and began its journey in International Film Festivals, garnering several awards.
Specifically, so far the film has participated in the following Film Festivals:
- SOFIA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, BALKAN COMPETITION, 2023
- BEIRUT INTERNATIONAL WOMEN FILM FESTIVAL, OFFICIAL SELECTION, 2023
- SAN ANTONIO INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL, ECUADOR 2023
- INCA IMPERIAL INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, PERU 2023
- LOS ANGELES GREEK FILM FESTIVAL, 2023

- CYPRUS FILM DAYS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, OFFICIAL SELECTION, 2023
In July, ‘IMAN’ will compete in the TOFIFEST INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL in Poland.
The film won the following awards:
