In the framework of the
24th Cyprus Film Days International Festival 2026
Dot.on.the.Map Ιndustry Days, the co-production, training and networking platform for film industry professionals of the 24th Cyprus Film Days IF, will hold its 7th edition in Limassol, Cyprus (23 – 25 April, 2026). Τhe CFD IF is an institutional event of the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Culture, organised by the Department of Contemporary Culture and the Rialto Theatre.
During the 3-day event, producers, directors and screenwriters from the Mediterranean region, will pitch their feature length fiction film projects to members of the international film industry, in Cyprus. Dot.on.the.Map Industry Days provides an excellent opportunity to network with industry professionals from across Europe, and the MENA region, to explore co-production and distribution opportunities, to discuss new projects in development, and pursue cross border collaborations.

With an aim to provide educational and networking opportunities for film professionals, Dot.on.the.Map Ιndustry Days presents CINEMA TALKS - a series of events, panel discussions, and inspirational talks intended exclusively for accredited industry professionals. All the events of Dot.on.the.Map Ιndustry Days will take place at the Rialto Theatre, in Limassol.
Friday, 24 April, 2026
10:30 Pitching Session
Dot.on.the.Map will officially launch its activities on Friday, 24 April, 2026 at 10:30a.m. with the pitching session at the Rialto Theatre. Ten teams of producers - directors with projects originating from countries of the Mediterranean region will pitch their feature length fiction film projects within the Dot.on.the.Map Meeting Point co-production forum, to representatives of the international film industry. Following group works and individual meetings, the filmmakers will take steps towards forming future collaborations with other filmmakers, international producers, financiers, sales agents, broadcasters, distributors, festival and film fund representatives. The Dot.on.the.Map Meeting Point co-production forum is implemented in partnership with Agora, Thessaloniki International Film Festival. The pitching session will be moderated by film development expert and trainer Marjorie Bendeck.

Join Executive Director Peter D. Todorov to find out more about opportunities for international co-production supported by the Bulgarian National Film Centre. In addition to detailing eligibility criteria and process for international co-production applications, an overview of the available funding opportunities and tax credit incentives will be presented.
15:45 PANEL DISCUSSION Screenwriting training labs: an essential step in the creative process
This panel will showcase three of the most prominent European screenwriting labs designed to help filmmakers and writers advance their film projects and scripts. Keynote speakers will discuss the pivotal role of labs in the development and
scriptwriting process, provide insights on selection criteria, and discuss how this training and feedback can be organically implemented in the collaborative creative process.

Organised in partnership with Frankfurter Buchmesse, this panel will bring together leading producers and an acclaimed screenwriter to discuss best practices and success stories in literary film adaptations. Speakers will share their personal book-to-screen experiences and discuss the creative opportunities and challenges involved in adapting literature for cinema.
